Песня о том, как героиня устала прятаться и бороться, но всё равно чувствует, что её тянет на дно: вода, рябь, отражение и «шесть футов под землёй» становятся образами уязвимости, одиночества и почти утопления в собственных переживаниях. Настроение здесь тихое, тревожное и обречённое, но не истеричное — скорее это вымотанная решимость работать вдвое сильнее, лишь бы ей поверили, что она ещё что-то выбирает. Ключевой приём — повторяющийся припев-обманка: обещание совместной поездки на машине оборачивается тем, что партнёр ждёт, пока они отъедут подальше, чтобы сообщить, что скоро уйдёт. В итоге текст держится на контрасте между внешней собранностью и внутренним страхом быть покинутой, а рябь на земле и смутное отражение подчёркивают, что ясности о себе и отношениях у героини почти нет.
