О чём эта песня
Это песня о горьком разочаровании в любви и добровольном уходе в ненависть как в более «дешёвую» и привычную эмоцию. Лирический герой с самого начала подозревает неискренность другого («секретный сад», «почему ты следила за мной»), теряет вкус к надежде и приходит к циничному выводу: «любовь дорога, а ненависть бесплатна». Ключевой приём — нарочито бодрый рефрен «Hey yeah, Good great, Hey now, Let's hate», который звучит как саркастический гимн саморазрушению. Настроение колеблется между злой иронией и тоской: герой признаёт, что все умрут и в этом смысле равны, но при этом мучительно мечется между «я не принадлежу этому миру» и «я всегда неправ». В финале звучит мрачное принятие своего отчуждения, а образ «другой стороны» лишь подчёркивает безысходность, а не надежду на примирение.
